Age guessing, by real people
How old do I look?
An online age detector gives you one number from one algorithm. AgeDart asks real people: you post a selfie, strangers from all over the world guess your age without knowing anything about you, and you get the verdict — broken down by country, age group and gender. And if you like guessing, play the age guessing game yourself.
How it works
- Take a selfie. Your face, close and well lit, no filters. You need to be 18 or older.
- Strangers guess. Your photo appears in the game and players throw a dart at the age they think you are.
- Get your verdict. Within hours you see how old people think you look, and who sees you younger: by country, by age group and by gender.
People vs. AI
AgeDart also gives you an AI estimate — but as a contrast, not as the answer. Lighting, a beard or a pair of glasses can throw an algorithm off, and the fun is seeing where the crowd and the machine disagree.
What makes you look older or younger in a photo
Most of the difference between the age people guess and your real age has nothing to do with your skin. It's the photo:
Light from above
Overhead light (ceiling lamps, midday sun) deepens every line and shadow under the eyes. Soft light from the front, like a window, takes years off.
Low camera angle
Shooting from below adds a double chin and makes the face look heavier. Hold the phone at eye level or slightly above.
Expression
A relaxed, genuine smile usually reads younger than a serious face — but a forced smile can add crow's feet.
Beard and hair
A full beard tends to add years; grey hair and hairline do too. A fresh haircut can change the guess more than skincare.
Glasses and makeup
Thick frames and heavy makeup can push the guess either way. Try the same shot with and without.
Tiredness
Bad sleep shows first in the eyes. The same face can gain several years from one night to the next.
Is the result reliable?
With a few votes you see a range, not a number. As votes come in, AgeDart uses the median and leaves out the guesses that are far from the rest, so one joker can't move your age. Your friends can vote too with your own link, and you can compare what they say with what strangers say.
Your photo, your rules
Only adults can post. Every photo is checked before it goes live, anyone can report a face, and you can pause or delete your photo — or your whole account — whenever you want.
